Andean Life - Tour & Trek Testimonials
Below you can find a selection of just a few of the emails that we have received from our clients. In our office in Cusco we keep a book where many clients write their comments on our treks as well as many trek reports brought back by our guides. It is our aim to ensure that ALL of our clients have a great time here in Peru. If you have any comments or ideas on how we can improve our service please email us.
My party recently did the four day Inca trek with your company. I would just like to say on the behalf of the four of us how wonderful it was. The porters were fantastic and every aspect went smoothly- our particular thanks to the cook!
We would also like to send our thanks to Juan-Louis who was a wonderful guide and a really lovely person. Please let him know that we have not forgotten about Paddington Bear, and will send him a book via yourselves for his children very soon.
Thanks again for helping us to achieve such a wonderful experience. Peru and its people are exceptional.
Kind Regards, Joanne Field (and Robin, Jonathan and Vicki)

Just wanted to say thank you for all of your help with our trip to Peru. I also wanted to let you know what a wonderful time I had on the Inca trail.
Ernesto, Patricia, Robert, and all of the porters were fantastic. It was
truly a fantastic trip!

A quick note to say thanks v.much, I had a great time with the Andean Life folks on the Inca Trail. Ernesto, Pasqual and not forgetting the cook David, were all fantastic. Macchu Picchu was stunning.
Also thanks for the Edgar Adventures recommendation for Titicaca, stayed with a family on Amantani, it was a highlight of my trip as was Mountain Biking outside of La Paz (Eco.)
Already thinking of my next trip to South America, one day...but Nepal and India are beckoning first!
I trust all is well for you in Cusco.
Kind regards
Paul
I had a great time on the trip. Ernesto was a great guide and I would recommend your group to others.

Hello Andean Life
Now we are back in old and cold Germany. First at all, we will say thank you for this amazing Trekking to Salkantay, Santa Teresa and Machu Picchu. When we look back to our visit to Peru, we are thinking only to this week. Our two Guides (Washington and Ronny Delgado) were very good and funny. Also the Cook (Hermann) and his son made a meal fantastic. To complete the good boys are needed the horsemen (Ulalio and his brother). When we come to Peru the next time we will enjoy another week with this team. They are very good and we are telling all our friends to enjoy the same. We have made a lot of pictures and if they are developed we will send you the best of them per mail and a lot of them per post. We also send you pictures for Herrmann, Ulalio, Washington and Ronny.
Greetings from
Armin, Marion, Birgit and Markus!!!!!!
Thank you SO SO Much for your help. If you ever need any advice about Colorado (that's where I live) Just drop me a line. Thanks again, Bridget
Good Morning all the staff at Andean Life.
We own and run our own travel agency and therefore respect enormously a wholesaler who responds professionally to all situations. I cannot commend your office enough for the superb manner in which everyone catered for our groups needs from the arrival, settling into the hotel and finally the efficiency in which we were all boarded at short notice on our flights out of Cuzco.
In relation to the walk I shall never forget the experience and the superb pride Jessie and the team catered for us and showed their love for the Inca People, the history and the spirituality of the Inca People: it was outstanding.
Please pass on my sincere thanks to everyone. Do you have any wholesaler who acts on your behalf through perhaps the UK or Australia for I should like to recommend Andean Life.
Once again many thanks regards Kerry Lehoczky

I was part of the Allyson Regnier group that just got finished with your Salkantay trek. I wanted to tell all of you what a great time we had. Yes we ran into two, freak, snow storms, but that just adds too all the stories we have to tell.
From the time we landed to the time we left, you took great care of us. William was terrific! Thank you for all the time you spent with us when we were in Cusco. The trek was amazing (and amazingly hard, but I would do it again in a heartbeat). Also, Gary is a phenomenal guide. To be that young and yet that knowledgeable. He taught us so much along the way about the Incas, the region and the customs. He was also very patient and helpful with this group of novices. Congratulations on having such a great stuff. I can only rave about your company and about the trip we just took. If anyone asks me, I will tell them there is only one company to go to Machu Picchu with and that's Andean Life. In the future, if you have someone that would like to talk to a past trip participant, I would be more than willing to tell them about our experience.
Mike, sorry we didn't get to meet you. You never know, there's always next year.
Thanks so much for the trip of a lifetime!
Sincerely, Kathy Gerhardt

I just wanted to take a few moments to thank you both so very, very much for one of the best trips I have ever taken. While the TWO snow storms we encountered made our spirits a bit heavy, they definitely added to the challenge of the trip and made us feel a bit more of an accomplishment having done our two highest passes in snow equal to what Chicago often sees in the winter. In any event, through all the wet weather, we all had an incredible time. I cannot speak for the others directly, but I know me and Dave thought the Salkantay trail was such a great way to do the hike as we had the unique and special experience to be alone in the middle of the most beautiful mountain range.
In addition to the sights being unbelievable, the entire team of Andean Life employees were outstanding. To begin with, Gary was a HUGE part of what made our trip so great. His energy, enthusiasm, appreciation and love of nature and Inca history and culture gave us all a fun-filled and educational 7 days. He was always enthusiastic about the trek and always encouraging of us all in the hardest of times (particularly at 16,800 feet).
He was accommodating and friendly and fun. He knows his history so well and really wanted all of us to see Peru in a non-tourist way. As we walked around Machu Picchu and heard the other tour guides talking, we all realized how lucky we were to have had Gary for our trip. In additional to Gary - Ronald and his wife were the most amazing cooks. While I realize this is their job and both of them were also very personable and became friendly and welcoming faces as we came into camp each day. The horsemen and porters were all great - they even brought all of our wet clothes to our next camp after our two rainy/snowy days and laid them out to dry.
We ALWAYS felt well taken care of and appreciated so very much the efficiency and friendliness of everyone.
Bilma - who led us on our two days of tours prior to our hike was also great.
She was flexible and accommodating and always arrived with a smile.
Finally - I would like to thank both of you. Mike, you were so patient with all of our questions since January on and always answered my emails in prompt time. You put together a wonderful trip for us that not only made us feel welcome and special, but also put our entire group at ease from the moment we shook hands with William. And speaking of William - you were great.
You have a wonderful way with people and ALWAYS made sure everything was just right. From meeting us at the airport to finding me a jacket for the trip (which without I would have FROZE) you were always there to help us and answer questions. We also enjoyed being a part of Gary's birthday celebration - it was a personal touch we most appreciated.
If asked if I have any comments or suggestions?....I would only say that you might want to stress to people to make sure they include a WARM jacket in their list of items to bring - particularly one that helps with wind - and possibly mittens or gloves if their hands get cold. I think all of us were prepared for the weather in Cusco - but not on the trail as much.
Additionally - I would encourage people to make sure their boots are waterproof as one of our hikers had water resistant boots, which did not keep her feet dry through the snow and rain. All in all if was a great trip and one that I will remember for a lifetime.
Kathleen and I are getting our pictures back and between us, we have a number of them we will be sending to you. If you ever need a letter of recommendation - Dave, Kathleen, Kathy, and myself all would be willing to do so - just let us know.
Again - thank you for everything. I will be sending Gary a thank you email as well. We will definitely recommend your company to any of our friends who are thinking about going to Peru and we will definitely call on you again when we are ready to journey into the jungle or do the Nasca lines - both of which are things a few of us want to do.
Thanks!

his email is a bit overdue, but I wanted to thank you for all of your help coordinating our trip. That trip, by far, was one of the most enjoyable vacations I have taken. When I see the 5 stars above our LA skyline, I think back to our third night on the terrace under the full bed of stars. Unbelievable!
Please thank Virgil for me, and if he has an email address, I have some pictures for him.
Thank you again, Sarah.

hope all is going well in Cusco. Again, I want to thank you and everyone else associated with Andean Life for making our trip to Macchu Pichu a most memorable and fantastic trip. You all did a terrific job considering the large group of 30 persons. As you might already know, we have already given out your website for others who are planning a trip to Peru.
Thanks again for everything,

Well I just returned to US today from the Galapagos. I want you all to know that everyone including myself want to thank you all for a very fantastic Incan experience. We will all recommend your company to any and all who might be interested in traveling to Peru.
Again it was wonderful to meet you all in person, and I personally want to say thank you for providing a hassle free experience hiking the Inca trail and everything else we did while in Peru.

Cynthia and I are home for a spell and wanted to take to time to thank you (and Milagro) for salvaging our vacation. We were ecstatic that you were able to accommodate us for the Inka Trail trek -- and you were right, it's SPECTACULAR! :-)
We're grateful to have had you as our coordinator and appreciate the extra time you spent with us to make us feel comfortable. We're telling our friends about your heroics and how please we are with your services on all our tours.
Milagro assigned us to a guide (Rosie) and porter (Floyd) who were fabulous hosts and treated us like personal family members. Cynthia and Karina continue to remind me of what a "wimp" I was, complaining about the grueling first day climb. But, I'll never forget the joy I witnessed on their faces after we scaled that last set of stairs and they lay eyes on Machu Picchu for the first time. It was truly realization of a lifelong dream.
Again, thank you very much, and please express our gratitude to Milagro, as well.
kind regards, Tony Taylor

Thank you again for putting together a wonderful trip. Everyone thinks your company is the best ever, and all of our co-workers are hearing all about our trip this week. We are all tired from all the early morning rising, but we're recovering. we really liked the jungle and Ecoamazonia and the very nice people who work there. We enjoyed Gary and his hearty laugh and good sense of humor. He took a real interest in helping us to appreciate the wildlife and the environment.
Hope to see you again next year for a longer trip with another group.
Anything we can do to promote your business we would be very happy to do so.

Jungle was fab, including the bottle of Peruvian Port I took for support. Just a shame we didn't have longer to enjoy more of Peru. Back home safely, and it is cold.
Again, thanks for your help.

Hello to all the Andean Life gang!!!!
We arrived home safely and are now back doing our boring jobs again. I am already planning my next escape. Peru lived up to all my expectations and more. We couldn't have enjoyed your magnificent country without your expert help and friendly advice. All the guides were top quality. I can't believe how hard the porters worked and took care of us on the trail. Please pass on our thanks to all of the crew. If you ever come to Britain just give us a call. I have already recommended you to all of my friends and also our local travel agent who may contact you soon.
Warmest regards
Julie Horton
